100 Year Old Traditional
House
This old traditional house
immediately grabbed my attention, not only for the low price tag but also as it has real character and a nice private plot.
The main house has external stone
steps leading to a wonderful wooden terrace and then two good sized rooms
off the terrace. Under the main house is a large basement.

There is also a summer kitchen with a
room behind it as well.
The plot is about 900sqm with
vineyards and fruit trees.
The property is fairly close to the
city, being about 23km east of Stara Zagora and just off the main road
through to Nova Zagora and onto Burgas.
May 2007: After meeting seller
at Notary to complete deal it was discovered that various bits of
paperwork were missing and so completion has had to be delayed until this
is dealt with by the seller.
August 2007: All paperwork
finally sorted out and hope to complete the deal shortly. Do not intend to
do anything with this property immediately.
Property deal now complete. Old owner
tried to leave me his dog and wants access in the autumn to pick his
grapes for wine and Rakia.
February 2008: Visited house
to ensure all in order and to see what had been left behind. Small part of
the mud brick wall had fallen down and door to one of the upstairs rooms
was wide open. However, rest of house secure. All furniture has been left
as well as lovely old wood burner and stove. It is a decent village,
only 15 minutes drive from the city.
