The Services Offered..... I offer various services through contacts and friends to help you buy in Bulgaria and live or invest there, including general free advice, private property sales listings as well as put you in touch with a good English builder and a landscape gardener. General Advice If you would just like to discuss buying property in Bulgaria in general please also feel free to contact me. I have had a fair amount of experience including attempting to buy (and pulling out of the purchase) of an off-plan ski apartment and have bought 12 rural properties to do up for myself in this region. Four houses have been completely renovated and I have had a new house built from scratch. I have also completed renovations for several clients. I have visited a number of areas in Bulgaria and would be more than happy to help you in any way I can. However, there is little I can say if I just get an email saying 'I have seen this house for sale' and a link - 'what do you think'. Property Visits If you have seen a property on the internet, maybe on Ebay and would like somebody with much experience to go and visit the house, video it and photograph the property, garden and surrounding village and area, then I am available to do this so long as travel costs and accommodation costs are covered and a small amount for the actual work. I will prepare a full report for you within a few days of the visit and email you this, or telephone you to discuss the property so you can make a more informed decision as to whether to buy the house or not.If you are in the process of buying a new build apartment or house and would like someone to go and visit and check on progress I am more than happy to do this. Or if you are having troubles with the developer or builder and would like me to go and video and photograph the stage of the build, I can do this also. I can also do snagging lists if the property is completed and you want it checking before handing over the final sum of money. (Summers only) Garden Clearance & House Tidying (Chirpan & Stara Zagora area) If you have bought a rural property in Bulgaria, chances are the property has been a little neglected over the years and the garden is like a jungle, or at best rather over grown and the house full of old junk, rubbish and various creepy crawlies. I can organise for the garden to be strimmed, hacked back and tidied for you and the house to be given a clear out and sweep out so that when you arrive to start your new life or commence renovations, you can at least get to the front door, and can safely put your belongings in the house. Or maybe you cannot get out to your property regularly and would just like someone to visit, give it a good clean, tidy the garden and make it looked lived in. Alternatively, maybe you are looking to sell the house. A tidy, clean house with tended garden, will always sell much better than one that looks like no-one has been near it for months, or even years. I can help arrange for the garden to be tidied, the house to be cleaned, even painted and if you wish, photographs and video to be taken and sent to you afterwards for you to give to agents to promote the property. I have had the plots for a couple of my properties cleared and have cleaned the houses. This makes a big difference for the photographs and videos for selling your properties and a far better impression for prospective buyers. People are far more likely to buy your house if they can see the full size of the plot, they can walk up the garden path to the front door without having to fight through weeds and nettles, they can enter the property and see tidy, swept rooms and not be pushing through cobwebs and stepping over junk and rubbish left by old owners.

And a few hours later the plot was strimmed, cuttings cleared into piles and the house had been swept and dusted and windows opened, cleaned and small cracks filled with polyfiller. We will do whatever you request - clear the house of junk and rubbish, sweep the rooms and dust, generally make the house more presentable, strim the garden, chop down small trees and bushes, log any wood for firewood or clear away, pile garden cuttings in one or a few discreet areas and trim vines, bushes and trees, dig over areas, rebuild walls (stone or mud brick)......Some small landscaping jobs can be undertaken as well - building paths, small patios, boundary walls, flower beds etc. Here is a video showing what can be achieved in a day:
Building Work & Renovation/DIY Projects I am happy to recommend a good friend who is an English builder and now lives and works in the Stara Zagora/Chirpan area. He has his own mini-digger and all tools and can carry out most building and renovation works. Charges good rates and is honest and reliable. He does my small building works as required.
