Apartment Close to Sunny
Beach

In
summer 2010 we were kindly lent the use of a friend's apartment on
Sunset Kosharitsa, while we viewed other property in the area with a
view to exchanging one of our villas inland for something along the
coast. Alas our search came to nothing as people were (and still are)
wanting stupid prices for their properties - 99,000 Euros for a 2 bed
villa requiring serious redecoration, 40,000 E for an apartment on not
particularly nice complexes.....however Sunset was a fantastic place.
Its 6km outside Sunny Beach, on the edge of a lovely traditional
Bulgarian village, it was quiet as most of the apartments are never
used and have never even been furnished, there are 5 pools and a nice
restaurant.
We
decided to look at various apartments for sale here including brand new
ones form Bulgarian Properties in the Third Phase and a couple of
resales in Phase I and II. In the end we settled on a furnished one bed
corner apartment, brand new, never used.......It suited us perfectly
and we were happy with the price.
The
deal went through quickly and by early 2011 the apartment was
ours.
We
spent our first few nights in
our apartment at the end of May 2011 and we absolutely love the place.
Sure there are the usual Bulgarian quirky things - wires left sticking
out middle of floor in dining area (now isolated and cut off), lots of
windows but only 2 open, not enough sockets......and as a pre-ordered
furniture pack had been put in the furniture did not necessarily fit
the rooms. However, with a bit of rearranging and making the place
'ours' it is looking good.

If
you are looking for an
apartment on the coast, you will struggle to find a better development.
At Sunset Kosharitsa you benefit from being outside the hustle and
bustle and noisy resort of Sunny Beach, you can experience true
Bulgaria with cows wandering past the complex, wild pigs roaming
around, hares running across the fields and peace and quiet. The actual
village of Kosharitsa is a kilometre or so away and an easy walk (or
you can get the bus). There you will find a couple of lovely
restaurants and small shops (still decent prices, not rip off Sunny
Beach prices). There is a regular, if somewhat expensive bus to Sunny
Beach.
I
know of a number of
apartments
for sale in the complex at good prices. My
friend is now selling his apartment there for offers around 26,000
Euros - large one bed, furnished. And there are a few unfurnished
apartments I know of ranging from a one bed at 25,000 E to a large 2
bed penthouse for around 60,000 Euros.
